Carbon brushes, holders, and grounding
Helwig Carbon Products is inviting visitors to stop in at
Booth 501 and experience “hands-on demos and connect
with the foremost experts in carbon brushes, brush hold-
ers, shaft grounding, and more.” Visitors can demo the
BPK-Probe shaft voltage detection device and BPK shaft
grounding EZ MultiFit brackets. They can also pick up cop-
ies of the article “Cleaning the Commutator and Slip Ring
with a Brush,” by Helwig president Nitin Kulkarni, and “The
Importance of Spring Force on Carbon Brush Function,”
coauthored by Nitin Kulkarni and Helwig chairman Jeff
Koenitzer. “We look forward to hearing about the challenges
you’re facing and discussing how Helwig Carbon can help
solve them,” the company declares.
Helwig Carbon prides itself in delivering superior carbon
graphite brushes, brush holders, shaft grounding solu-
tions, and carbon graphite vanes, rotors, bushings, seals,
and more. The company says its products optimize perfor-
mance, extend equipment life, and reduce downtime with
custom-grade formulations and rigorously tested, applica-
tion-specific designs. In-house engineering, test lab, R&D,
and manufacturing all operate under one roof, providing
what the company describes as seamless collaboration to
develop, test, and refine products and materials for peak
performance while offering superior quality assurance.
“Our engineers advance the industry with groundbreaking
research that is incorporated into our products and into our
recommendations for your applications,” the company says.
The well-stocked and well-staffed booth of Helwig will offer plenty of
information for visitors.
A new line of NEMA Premium 4 motors
At Booth 801, ABB plans to unveil what it’s calling “a
comprehensive portfolio of advanced motor solutions en-
gineered for reliability, efficiency, and performance across
diverse industrial applications.”
ABB’s flagship SP4 motors (pictured above) are cooler-run-
ning motors that feature NEMA Premium 4 (IE4) efficiency
for “substantial energy cost savings” and with a four-year
warranty. ABB will showcase the full SP4 range, which
includes general-purpose, severe-duty, and new close-cou-
pled pump models designed for both standard and demand-
ing environments. For facilities requiring waterborne and
chemical resistance, the new SP4 white washdown motor
provides IP55-rated protection with easy maintenance and
sealed-bearing designs, according to the manufacturer.
The ABB Baldor-Reliance Food Safe stainless-steel motor
brings corrosion-resistant durability to food processing,
pharmaceutical, and sanitary applications. ABB’s severe-
duty lineup — including SD200 and vertical hollow shaft
motors — delivers “maximum protection in the harshest
industrial conditions,” the company says. ABB’s ODP5000
open drip-proof motor offers high power output and cost
efficiency.
Launching at EASA 2026 is ABB’s next-generation severe-
duty motor platform, a new addition demonstrating what the
company calls its “commitment to innovation and customer
success.”

An interactive display of motor construction
Techtop Industries plans to raise the bar at this year’s Solu-
tions Expo with a larger, more dynamic booth designed to
showcase innovation, performance, and energy efficiency
“like never before.” This year, the company will be expand-
ing its presence to create an interactive experience that
gives attendees a closer look at how Techtop motors are
built to perform in real-world applications.
“With a March Madness college basketball theme, our
booth brings excitement to the show floor while highlighting
what matters most — results,” the company tells us. Techtop
motors are engineered to help customers reduce energy
use, improve operational efficiency, and extend equipment
life across such industries as HVAC, pumping, and material
handling.
Techtop will feature two live demonstrations, allowing
attendees to see its motors in action and understand their
capabilities firsthand. These demonstrations are designed
to show not only how the company’s products operate but
also how they can make “a measurable difference in perfor-
mance and efficiency,” according to the company.
Techtop Industries plans to present a “larger, more dynamic booth”
than last year’s.
