New on the expo floor

Introducing some first-time exhibitors at this year’s convention of the Electrical

Apparatus Service Association

Feature | Conventions & Trade Shows

The annual convention of the Electrical Apparatus Service

Association can often feel like a meeting of old friends. So much

about the convention remains constant from year to year, but

as befits an industry as rapidly evolving as electromechanical

service and sales, the convention sees its share of turnover too.

Companies and people come and go, and with the introduction of

new technologies come new suppliers entering the marketplace.

This year’s convention, to be held June 13-16 at the Rosen Shin-

gle Creek resort in Orlando, Fla., is likely to be no exception. Yes,

many familiar faces and exhibitors will be at this year’s EASA

Solutions Expo, but so too will be several first-time exhibitors.

Companies might sign on to exhibit up until last moment — and

some companies, unfortunately, may drop out — so it’s impossible

to say with certainty this far in advance who will be at the Solu-

tions Expo and who won’t. It’s with that caveat that we introduce

to you, on this and the next two pages, some companies that are

lined up to exhibit at the EASA Convention this year for the first

time. — Editor

Distributor of a variety

of industrial components

“I don’t really see [many] distributors at these trade shows

and I always thought, ‘I think that would benefit people,’” says

Moe Serifovic, president of P&P Distributors of Delray Beach,

Fla. Serifovic’s company distributes electrical and mechanical

components used across industries and aims to be a one-stop

shop for its customers. “We’re a small company, but we do a

lot of different things, and we also distribute to a lot of differ-

ent companies,” he says. “We have a far reach.”

At this year’s EASA Convention, P&P Distributors will be

showcasing a range of the products it sells and will have a

binder full of available

parts and products for

attendees to flip through.

The company plans to

display different parts

and

pieces

with

the

hope of showing how

far-reaching its services

are. “We can distribute

motors, gear boxes, belt-

ing, bearings, switches,

timers, relays, things like

that,” Serifovic says. “I

want them to walk away

[thinking], ‘Oh wow, we can go to this guy for pretty much

anything.’”

The staff at P&P is excited for more people to learn about

the global reach of the company’s expertise, as well as its ded-

ication to helping customers find what they need. “If you want

a motor from Germany or Italy or Switzerland — anywhere in

Europe, that’s us,” Serifovic says. “We’ll always go above and

beyond to try to help the customer get the best price, the best

customer service, and to fix his problems.”

IEC motors for diverse applications

Founded in Türkiye and now headquartered in Istanbul,

ELK Motor is a manufacturer of electric motors used in a wide

array of industrial applications. The company specializes

in electric motors that

adhere to IEC standards.

“These

products

are

widely used in industries

such as manufacturing,

HVAC, water treatment,

agriculture, mining, pet-

rochemical

processing,

and material handling,”

says Mehmet Şensoy, ELK

Motor’s export manager.

“Applications

include

pumps, fans, compres-

sors, conveyors, gearboxes, and many other systems where

durability and energy efficiency are critical.”

At the EASA Convention, the company plans to showcase

its latest portfolio of electric motors, which include high-effi-

ciency IE3 and IE4 motors, motors designed for demanding

industrial environments, and customized motor configura-

tions for OEM and special applications. “EASA brings together

key stakeholders in the electrical apparatus service and

manufacturing ecosystem,” Şensoy says. “For ELK Motor, the

conference is not only an exhibition platform but also a valu-

able knowledge-sharing environment where best practices in

motor design, maintenance, energy efficiency, and reliability

are discussed.” The company aims for attendees to walk away

with a better understanding of ELK Motor’s place in the indus-

try as a reliable partner with a focus on European standards,

competitive manufacturing, and long-term performance.
